Layer One of our Operating System is all about optimised content creation and streamlined distribution channels. We are building Layer 1 on the Ethereum network and leveraging ERC protocol standards, specifically, novel Non-Fungible Token implementations; ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-998.
The result is a streamlined & comprehensive digital content supply chain, concentrated on optimisation of content creation and providing access channels for promoting greater creative supply.
Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are a type of digital ownership certificate that live on the blockchain. By nature, they are not “like-for-like”, rather they are able to verify the full life cycle value of an asset by providing an unbreakable link between the original creator & current holder. Bringing native NFT use cases to digital fashion enables a huge leap for the industry in terms of solving the present pain within digital ownership, open source innovation and multi-platform distribution across virtual environments.
In our content supply chain, NFTs give designers, brands & fashion houses a
scalable digital distribution channel that enables their assets to be directly verified & authenticated on-chain, backed by immutable ownership. We incorporate diverse degrees of rarity and exclusivity for direct influence on supply and demand.
The supply chain architecture reinforces new access channels for greater creative supply. Independent creators can issue modular fractional components of a digital fashion item, down to a material, pattern and texture level. They can now open source these assets into digital libraries where they are leveraged by the entire community of digital fashion artists in their master garments.
Fractional Garment Ownership
This reconception of Fractional Garment Ownership is all verified & uniquely secured on-chain, where the ERC-1155 NFT standard is used to issue each modular garment component bound to the individual creator’s identity.
Associated patterns, materials, and textures are each incorporated on-chain within the unique sphere of authority of their master ERC-721 NFT. We use a variant on the ERC-998 standard, which allows for the ERC-721 master token to hold a balance of ERC-1155 (Child NFT) issued tokens. All original contributors to the digital fashion item can have their IP authenticated and effectively traced across the entire journey through the digital fashion supply chain — down to a composable and programmable level.
Any creator on our platform will be able to transparently maintain a more
meaningful record and showcase of their designs by attaching programmable fashion elements directly to their social profiles. Completely new models of monetisation are unlocked by contribution royalties from modular assets, which flow to the issuers of the Child NFTs. Democratising this whole supply chain process means that now even junior designers, creators can experiment, gain access to and distribute their creativity — removing limitations and overshadowing by large fashion houses.
All master digital garment designs are perpetually linked with the DIGITALAX Open Digital Fashion License, making it simple to complete an IP transfer for any buyer of the full garment. This reduces lengthy and sluggish legal complexity when the time comes to deploy these assets across virtual settings. This unique license combination ensures an open source scalable P2P marketplace for Designers, Developers, Players, and the underlying material assets, while redefining standards on the transferability of the whole garments.
